As usual Apple, welcome to 2 years ago. Nokia’s Internet Tablets (and the PSP) have had Skype for a long time.

As far as when i use Skype, i have it on my E90 and my N810. The E90 uses the 3g and people call me from the US (i’m in the UK) via Skype. It also mean i can have access to Skype when the kids are hogging the PC! We’re flying over to L.A later this week, i will be able to call ahead from the airports to let family know where we are.

    2)Apple’s background/multitask BS.

I was listening to this podcast while out hiking. In addition to the podcast, i was running Viewranger (topo map app), push mail, google maps, transfering other podcasts i’d downloaded from my E90 to my N810, and running Opera Mini while taking a coffe break.

In addition my N810 was sucking down its own satellite maps to Maemo Mapper via the BT DUN on my E90.

When i got back to the car, i switched off Viewranger and turned on McGuider to track my way home. All the other apps were left running.

The phone never struggled, never stuttered, and the battery lasted just fine. Bring it Iphone!
