A few comments:

1) I run Pocket Informant on a 200MHz i-Mate JAMin with no problems, so running it on a 400MHz XV6700 shouldn't be an issue.

2) Regarding Reader activation, I installed Reader to that same JAMin and did not activate it. The last couple of nights, I've been reading The DaVinci Code on it, which I bought unlocked from amazon.com in 2004 and just got around to starting last month. ;) So no activation is necessary just to use the program.
