I have been meaning to call you guys on your Skype line to give you some feedback on data access in Alaska, but just haven't had a chance so I'll post my thoughts here.

I have the T-Mobile unlimited VPN data plan here in Washington State and have been taking a lot of business trips to Alaska over the last 6 months. As soon as I landed in Ketchikan, Juneau, and Anchorage my T-Mobile account roams (for free) onto the Cellular One network. I was able to get a data connection, but unfortunately I didn't think to run a mspeed test to see what the data speed was at. However, email and browsing was actually quite acceptable in these three cities.

We then took a trip out of Anchorage out to Seward and I had a data connection for 75% of the trip, which I found absolutely amazing. I then had full data down in Seward as well.

Maybe your listener can have a friend or family member in Washington get him signed up with T-Mobile down here and he could use T-Mobile in roaming status up in Alaska for wireless data. Just a thought.

Take care guys and keep up the excellent work with the podcast.
