Like James, I&#039;m in Houston and a Verizon customer (at least I presume he&#039;s switching to Verizon since his Sprint EV-DO phone is apparently good only as a boat anchor). I got EV-DO last month, and I agree that it can be a revelation. However, I&#039;ve been disappointed with the transfer speed. I occasionally see DL bursts of 1.5 mB/s, but typical is 150 kB/s. Not awesome.</description>
